Economic Development Strategy 2008-2013

The Economic Development Unit has crafted a new strategy to guide future economic development in the municipality over the next five years, following an extensive consultation process.

The strategy has been prepared to underpin one of council’s five pillars, ' Growing Shire',with this pillar being the pursuit of a growing, vibrant, sustainable and innovative municipality with a strong economic base to assist and encourage future development in appropriate areas.

Moira is one of the fastest growing municipalities in regional Victoria and the Economic Development Strategy will be a valuable tool to help guide that progress.

The document incorporates the 2006 Census data, ensuring a fresh snapshot of activity within the shire.
