Economic Development

This section provides an overview of the Economic Development Unit at the Moira Shire Council and what services they are able to offer.

It lists the commitments of the Economic Development Unit  as well as the objectives and  the services that we provide.

There is an Events Calendar that lists up and coming business events such as expo’s, courses, seminars and meetings.

Community profiles are also available for each of the four major towns within the shire in this section. Each town has information on its location, market access, people, industry, infrastructure and lifestyle.

An information pack can be mailed out to you if you would like more information on the Shire, which includes quick facts on each of the four major towns and a DVD focussing on Living Working and Investing in the Moira Shire. The DVD highlights the range of support services available to the community including health, recreationa; and educational facilities, promotes the infrastructure of the towns and showcases the attractions of the Moira Shire. The stars of the DVD are people who have made the move to Moira to live, work and invest and it captures a range of experiences as they share their stories in their own words.
