Industrial Land
The Economic Development Unit is responsible for the sale of land in Council's developing industrial estates and providing industry support to encourage business growth.
The development of industrial estates in Cobram and Nathalia has provided an opportunity for local businesses to expand, been a catalyst for securing new businesses to the area and generated strong employment growth in the Shire. With only two blocks remaining for sale in Cobram, the industrial estates are a sought after location. Sales for the 2003/2004 financial year totalled more than $1 million.
Identifying future industrial land in larger towns will be a strong focus in coming years as industrial land use strategies, urban design frameworks and town strategies are developed for the four major towns of Cobram, Nathalia, Numurkah and Yarrawonga.
Stage 3 of Schubert Street in Cobram is now available with blocks 21, 23, 24 and 25 available to make an offer on.
